The Confluence

The Confluence is a historic renovation of the H.D. Hudson Manufacturing Company Factory in downtown Hastings, Minnesota. The Confluence restores a prominent building to the City of Hastings and creates a destination along the Mississippi Riverfront, just minutes away from the Twin Cities.

The 68-room boutique hotel offers guests a charming blend of “town and country,” marrying the agrarian traditions of the region with the upscale style of the historic downtown. The hotel will also feature a casual bar/restaurant to attract visitors and locals, as well as a 350-person event space with breathtaking views of the river and Hastings bridge. The north wing features 20 loft-style apartments, with layouts for studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units, as well as secured underground parking and tenant storage.

Owner

After years of planning, the development team sought out Mint Development Co’s services in May 2019 to “shift the project from neutral into gear.” With over $1.0 million in grant funds set to expire December 31, 2019, immediate assistance was needed and Barse was instrumental in deploying 100% of the grant funds before the deadline. Mint Development Consulting services include: overall project leadership, design and construction team management, project cost management, and public partner interfacing.
